Priority visa service for Singapore from 2 July 2012 for Students

From Monday 2 July 2012 Tier 4 student applicants in Singapore will be able to use the UKBA priority visa service. The priority service is available to you if pay an additional fee to have your visa application processed ahead of others in Singapore. The UKBA aim to process all applications using the priority service within 3 – 4 working days of receiving them.

The Priority Visa service is optional. The fee is payable when you attend your appointment at the visa application centre.

The cost of this service will be S$158 SGD which must be paid in cash.

Since 6th June 2012 for the following applications have already been available under the Priority Service:

  • business visitor;
  • Tier 1 high value migrant;
  • Tier 2 skilled worker; or
  • air crew joining aircraft.

But as of the 2nd July, Tier 4 applicants will also be able to use the Priority Service. We strongly recommend that you do not use this service if you have any form of adverse immigration history.

Using the priority service does not imply or guarantee that you will be successful in your visa application. All visa applicants must meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules. The UKBA will not refund the fee for the priority service, or the visa application fee, if they refuse your visa application or if, in exceptional cases, it takes longer than 4 working days to process your application.
